Accelerate Associates Researches ‘Medical Apps’ for Newcastle University

Newcastle University, Faculty of Medical Sciences Enterprise Team recently selected Accelerate Associates, the Staffordshire based medical device market research company, to assess the current and potential market for Mobile Medical Applications.

Dr Margaret Lawlor from the Enterprise Team at Newcastle started searching for a company to research the Mobile Medical Applications market after researchers at the university had developed a number of ‘medical apps’ in-house.

Accelerate Associates commenced a ten week market research project to identify key developers and market trends within this field. In addition to extensive secondary research, Accelerate Associates liaised with the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency) to identify and comment on legislation and regulatory affairs with regards to the mobile medical application market. Interviews with key opinion leaders also provided key intelligence and market perspective.

The end research was completed and delivered to the Enterprise team on schedule and on budget.
