Testimonial

“Accelerate produced a fantastic report within a few weeks, containing a lot of detailed and useful information that will certainly help us to drive Recap Health forward in the market. In addition to delivering the intelligence we needed, we were delighted to also receive contact details from a number of NHS organisations who are interested in speaking with us further.”

The Challenge

Developed in the mental health and community services sector, Health2Works required a detailed understanding of the potential market need for Recap Health in the acute market, specifically focusing on use in outpatient care.

Our Approach

We developed a research plan utilising both primary and secondary research.

Depth interviews were conducted with clinical and management level respondents focusing principally on Patient Information Leads, Quality Improvement Leads and IT / Digital Health leads.

Interviews ascertained expert opinions regarding potential market need for Recap Health, use of patient information and intelligence regarding the likelihood of Recap Health to improve patient self-care.

Secondary data analysis identified outpatient appointment numbers by specialty as well as demographic trends. Accelerate also analysed outpatient appointments by first or follow up, profiling the pattern of outpatient support by specialty.

Results

A total of 11 NHS Trusts were surveyed in depth, with quantitative data gathered from a further 8 NHS Trusts regarding their normal use and volume of patient information.

A detailed report was produced for Health2Works profiling the points in the care pathway where patient information is used, specialties that have a higher reliance on patient information and intelligence regarding the use of digital media with and for patients.

An additional benefit of the research was that 4 organisations requested to learn more about Recap Health and are now continuing their discussions direct with the Health2Works team.
